    教学准备

    学情分析

        在教学过程中,对学情的了解是教师因材施教的关键。今年的九年级,学生基础较好,学习目的明确,反应较灵敏,学习英语兴趣较浓,学习较主动、自觉,具有一定的自觉能力。已经学会了that、if/whether引导的宾语从句的句子,可以在任务的指导下通过观察和分析总结宾语从句的基本用法及规律,具有较好的团结协作意识。因此,教师通过创设情境谈论周边场所激发学生学习兴趣,通过眼看,耳听,口动,手动,参与学习过程并形成清晰的知识脉络体系。本堂课以小组合作学习为主线,开展竞赛式课堂(设置学习小组,以小组参与课堂活动的人数作为评价小组优胜的标准。在课时结束时反馈结果,给优胜者掌声鼓励)寓教于乐,充分调动学生参与课堂的积极性。

    教学目标

    1. Knowledge Objective

       1).The clerk tells her to go to the corner of Market and Middle Streets.

       2).Can you tell me where there’s a good place to eat?

      3).Could you please tell me if there’s a ......?

       

    2. Ability Objective:

       To learn to talk about places in the city.

       Let students be able to talk about Taojiang freely.

    3. Moral Objective:

        Train students to respect others , to be polite to others, and to love life.

    Task 1: Before listening

    Step 1  Leading in

    1.Greetings(2分钟)

      You know I love traveling. My friend Jane likes traveling too.Let’s see a vedio of her.

    2.Watch a short vedio .(2分钟)

     Here are two questions for you,after watching,we should answer.

        (1) Where did the girl want to go ? How did she ask?

            Could you please repeat her questions?

      (2) Why did she ask the way?

    Jane likes traveling very much, now she wants to visit Taojiang. Today we have a task to be a  guide for her.To be a wonderful guide ,we should learn more words to describe our hometown-Taojiang.Let's look at Taojiang.

    3.Show some pictures of places in Taojiang and discuss what qualities are important for each place, and learn the new words.(10分钟)

      (Write and teach new words fascinating, inexpensive, uncrowded, convenient on the backboard.)

    [设计说明] 通过看Vedio,抓住了学生的眼球,即巩固复习了前面所学内容,又为完成后面的听力任务做热身,充分调动学生积极参与课堂,学生乐于联系实际生活去学英语。


     Step 2  Group work(8分钟)

    A game: Smash the golden eggs.

       Let's play a game,look at the golden eggs.Do you like them?Which number do you like?Choose it and smash it.Then you can see a place.Please describer it with the adjs,like the new words today.

    [设计说明] 我设计小组活动和竞赛活动,目的是为了寓学于乐中,巩固新旧描绘场景的形容词,为下面的听力环节打下坚实的基础。


    Task 2 While listening(11分钟)

    1.Look at the picture.

    Who is this man?      He is the clerk.

    Who are they?         They are tourists.

    What are they talking about ?

    Let's listen.


    2.Listen to the tape ,choose the answers.

    [设计说明]在这个环节中,因为本课时的听力内容对学生来说很难,所以我设计了一个学案,目的是为了简化听力任务,增强学生的学习自信心。


    Task 3(8分钟)

    Show Time

        It’s time to show yourself now, Jane is coming to Taojiang. you are a wonderful guide, how to introduce our hometown? 

    Now let’s work in groups. In each group, choose one student to be Jane, the others are guides.

    [设计说明]这个环节是本堂课的升华,通过Show time 既复习了本单元的语言目标,又可让学生展开想象,使其综合语言运用能力得到发展,把僵化呆板的活动变成充满活力的学习乐园。通过这个环节,能拓展学生的语言文化知识,培养学生跨文化交际和用英语思维的能力,同时通过小组讨论培养学生合作探究的能力。



     Summary(2分钟)

    [设计说明]这个环节是对学生在这堂课里的表现做一个总结,激出学生的学习内驱力。

    [设计说明]在本课时中,学生听说较多,适度的笔头练习是必不可少的。本环节的练习可以充实课堂,对教学内容做一个合理的总结与反馈,鼓励学生自主评价、自主纠错。它是课堂的深化和延伸。让学生用英语介绍桃江,意在把本课时的听说训练落实到写,有助于培养学生的自主学习的能力,使学生的综合语言运用能力得到锻炼和提高。
