本单元的教学话题为保护环境。本课主要描述了植树给我们的生活带来的好处，所出现的单词，句型较丰富，紧密联系生活实际。本文大部分的词汇，学生已经在前面几个学期学习过，而句型...can....;We should...;We enjoy...;等也在之前学习和操练过，相比之下教学的难度低了很多。正是由于学生有了一定的词汇量，那么在此基础上教学，学生就能更容易地完成学习目标，进而更快的理解和运用所学知识。
在本单元的教学中，我主要采用多媒体课件PPt，各种音频听力材料 和单词卡片来教学。
一、 知识与技能
1.能听懂、会说、认读新单词tree planting day，air，place, plant trees ，keep the air clean，keep us cool，make the place beautiful
2.能听懂、理解A部分的故事。
3.能用“be good for...”告知他人种树的好处；能用“I enjoy doing sth or I like to do sth..”告知他人自己喜欢种树的意愿；能用“trees can keep...”表达种树的好处。

1.(出示课件）情景导入，教学新单词Tree planting day
T：There are so many festivals in china? One day we should plant more trees. Guess! Is it Tree planting day?
S：Yes ,it is Tree Planting Day.
T：Tree Planting Day(板书，带读）
T:It's Spring now.Tree Planting Day in China is on 12th Match.(教学句型）
2.教学句型“We should ....”和核心词汇trees can keep the air clean，keep us cool，make the place beautiful.
(1).New words
通过谈论树木对环境的影响，引出新词组。
T: Do you like trees?

1)keep the air clean
①通过猜谜的游戏引出新单词：air。
②通过两张图片进行比较，引出新词组。

Ss: The air is clean in Picture 1.

引导学生适当拓展，操练词组keep the air clean。

鼓励学生继续讨论树木给我们生活带来的积极影响。

简笔画先出示没有任何树木的道路。

操练新单词place。还可以引导学生拓展思维，将place换成其他更具体的地点词，练习说新句型。

5)词汇操练
①游戏：句子接龙
引导学生将句子拆分成单词、词组进行操练，以小组为单位进行接龙游戏。
例如：
clean—keep the air
clean—Trees can keep the air clean.
cool—keep us
cool—Trees can keep us cool.
beautiful—make the place
beautiful—Trees can make the place beautiful.
3.学生听音，跟读，并尝试读句子。
4.跟教师一起拼写单词词组。
5.练习图文记忆单词词组。

9.创设情境： 教师用课件呈现Planting trees的场景，引导学生用what，why，how等疑问词造句，对planting trees提问。

【设计思路】通过创设与生活实际比较接近的语言环境，让学生能在类似于真实的情景中学习，通过多媒体课件PPt和图片，进行单词词组和句型的教学，可以检查与培养学生运用英语的能力，使学生养成用英语进行思维的好习惯，为进一步学习英语练就扎实的基本功。

1．播放教学光碟快速阅读A部分，回答问题。
1）When’s Tree Planting Day?

3）What can we do for trees?
2．精读课文，帮助学生理解大意。
Practice：planting trees can...... 教师按照课文A部分内容设计填空练习题，让学生在规定的时间内完成相应的练习。比一比，看谁完成得又对又快，可以用抢答的方式。
3. （出示课件，拓展延伸）What will happen if there are no trees? (如果没有树地球会怎样？) 教师可适当总结（穿插德育教育），告诉学生要保护树木，保护环境。Earth is our only home!（地球是我们唯一的家！）
【设计思路】通过让学生听读、复述课文A部分，加深学生对课文内容的认识和理解。同时，通过有效设计当堂练习，让学生边学边练，及时反馈学习效果，为实现高效学习提供了保障。另外，拓展延伸部分，向学生全面宣传了保护环境，保护树木的思想教育。
1．创设情景：日常生活中我们应该怎样做，要求运用We should……
2.完成适当的课堂练习。
【设计思路】同学们的能力参差不齐，在这一环节中，通过发生性思维的练习，让学生们畅所欲言运用句型“We should..."使学习能力较好的同学都得到了一个展示的机会，也激发了其他学生的学习热情，更深入地学习了本课的英语知识。
