四年级的学生对英语学习有了一定的基础，好奇心和表演欲强烈。学生心理年龄特点大概处于十岁左右，这个年纪阶段的儿童容易对新鲜的事物所吸引，注意力不太稳定，他们对课件里的动画和有趣的实物道具感兴趣。另一方面，他们感知事物的能力不精确，比较笼统。往往看到的是孤立的现象，容易忽视事物特点之间的联系，对时间和空间的概念也比较模糊。因此，这节课对于语法的讲解，与其花大的时间对他们灌输语法知识，还不如以情境感知和语句的反复运用到语言环境里让他们了解并总结动词过去式的规则变化和不规则动词的现象。这个年龄段的孩子，理性思维才处于启蒙状态，与其花费大量的时间跟孩子们讲解枯燥笼统的知识，不如让他们在各种各样的语境中、活动中，去感知和习得语言，并在大量的活动中开口说英语，并在具体的情景中明白怎样运用。要很好的把握住四年级孩子的学习情况，并因材施教，和学生搭配默契，使课堂不仅仅是教学性的课堂，更是学生乐学的课堂，享受的课堂，情境教学时用的游刃有余。大多数四年级学生在鼓励性评价中能大声说，大胆做，充分体会交流对于英语学习的重要意义。

1. 能听、说、认读生词及一般过去时态的句子，并能在实际中运用。
2. 熟练运用一般过去时简单描述自己和他人过去做过的事情。
3.能理解用V-ed来表达过去的方式，读准cleaned,finished,helped、washed的读音。清辅音/p/后加ed发 /t/,比如标题句的单词helped.ed 发/ t /.finished中的ed 发/ t /.washed中的ed发/ t /.然后要区别cleaned中的ed发/d/。英语动词按其过去式和过去分词的构成方式可分为规则动词和不规则动词，进行把文本中的单词进行总结和处理。
通过课件辅助教学，创设一系列情景，让学生在具体的情景中学习新单词、新句型，然后再运用于语言交流，使整个教学源于生活，又用于生活，创设了真实的生活场景，使学生学有所用，体验成功的喜悦。具体采用以下几种方法:
