    教学准备

    学情分析

    本节课的教学对象是八年级学生,这一阶段的学生思维能力发展较快,自我意识增强,有较强的求知欲和表现欲,在情感方面他们能进行自我教育。经过一年多新课程理念的熏陶和时间,学生已有了初步的自主学习、合作探究的能力,但部分学生存在不自信,羞于表现等思想顾虑,但又希望得到他人的肯定。因此,本堂课教学目标分了三个层次,照顾不同程度的学生。创造民主、和谐的课堂氛围,尊重每个学生,积极鼓励学生,在教学活动中尽量让每个学生参与到课堂活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感,通过学生间的小组合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,促进学生相互学习,相互帮助,发展合作精神,使各层次的学生都有所收获,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。加强对学生学习策略的指导,让他们学会学习。通过导学案,、课堂展示等方式实现学习目标。引导学生在学习过程中,进行自我评价,并根据需要调整自己的学习策略。

    教学设计

    教学目标

    一、语言技能目标:

    1. 学生通过感知,实践skimming,能够迅速地找到文章的主旨大意;

    2. 学生通过筛选key words, 感知实践scanning,能够查找并整理文章的具体信息;

    3. 学生通过模仿、合作,能够用英语表达自己的择友观。

    二、情感态度目标:

    1. 通过讨论,感知文章,欣赏歌曲和视频,能描述人物的个性特征及行为习惯的形容词和副词描述朋友及他人;

    2. 了解中外青少年对待友谊的态度和看法,尊重人与人之间的异同,并建立健康积极向上的择友观;

    三、文化意识目标:

       感受友情之美:帮助朋友,理解朋友,珍爱朋友


    教学重难点

    1. 灵活运用形容词或副词的比较级来谈论人物的个性特征;能结合自己的实际情况和语篇中的人物进行对比;

    2. 掌握skimming 和scannig的阅读技巧,提高学生的综合阅读能力。

    3. 通过观察、讨论、体验,学生能理解文章的更深层次的意义;通过讨论、模仿、体验,合作探究,学生能用英语表达自己的交友观,能够表达自己对朋友的真正思考。


    教学方法

    探究式自主学习,任务型教学,情景教学法,小组合作学习,全身反应法,自然教学法,整体语言教学法。

    教学过程

      Step1 Warming up (热身)

     Watch a video to enjoy the song in it, and guess what the song is about and what the name of the song is.

    Step2 Leading in (导入)

     Ask Ss to compare two teachers to review comparative forms of some adjectives.

    Lead to the topic question: Should friends be the same or different?

    Step3 Fast reading (速读)

    Read the passage quickly to find out 3 students’ friends and match their opinions about friends.

        Jeff Green                Larry                I don’t really care if my friends are the same as me or different.

        Huang Lei                Carol               A good friend is like a mirror.

        Mary Smith              Yuan Li            It’s not necessary to be the same. 

      Reading skills: find the topic sentences to get the main idea.

    Step4 Careful reading (详读)

    1. Read part 1 carefully to answer 3 questions about Jeff and his friend.

    (1) What is Jeff like?

    (2) Is it easy for Jeff to make friends? Why?

    (3) What does he think friends are like?

    Discuss: what’s a good friend like?

    A friend is like a candy, because it's sweet.

    A friend is like a light house, it can make you find the right direction.

    A friend is like the sun, it makes us warm.

    A friend is like an ice-cream in summer, it is so cool and sweet.

    A friend is like warm quilt in winter, it is very comfortable.

    A friend is like Youlemei, because it makes us happy. 

    2. Read part 2 carefully to find out the differences and similarities between Huang Lei and Larry.

    Discuss: how can different people make friends?

    Reading skills: While reading, Pay attention to the key words, such as more, than, both, as…as.

    3. Read part 3 carefully to answer 2 questions:

    (1) What’s Mary’s favorite saying?

    (2) What’s a true friend is in Mary’s eyes?

    Learn the sign language in music. 

    1. A friend talks about and shares everything.

    2. A friend is always there to listen.

    3. A friend reaches for your hand.

    4. A friend touches your heart and cares about you. 


    Step5 Group work (小组活动)

    Discuss in groups: Should friends be the same or different?

    Then have a debate between Pro sides and Con sides. 

    Pro sides: Friends should be the same.

    Con sides: Friends should be different. 

    Step6 Consolidation (巩固和小结)

       How can we keep our friendship long?

       What does a true friend mean? 

       F: Feelings

       R: Reality

       I: Importance

       E: Enjoyment

       D: Dreams

       The famous saying of Confucius(孔子):  To meet friends from afar, how happy we are! 

       Summary:  

       The silk road  The belt and road

       No matter whether we are the same or different, we can be friends. It's the same with our country.

     Encourage them to work harder to mae contributions to our country.

    Step 7 Homework (作业)

       Write a passage about whether friends should be the same or not.
