八年级的英语词汇量比七年级要大,而且学习内容的难度进一步加深,学生经过一年多的英语学习,已经具备一定的英语基础知识和听说能力,正逐渐向读、写过渡,学生们对英语学习的兴趣依然浓厚。而且经过一年的练习,已经具备初步的合作、探究的学习能力。
本单元的主题是开展有关志愿者活动,是学生很感兴趣的话题,但本节课为一节阅读课,相对于听说课较为枯燥,为避免这一现象,采用Role play 和groupwork的学习方式,鼓励学生完成阅读任务,同时描述自己的志愿者活动经历,既能运用所学知识,联系实际生活,又能提高解决问题以及综合运用语言能力。使学生能意识到可以根据自己的爱好特长选择更适合自己的志愿者活动!
