本单元为食物(Food and drinks)类的话题。可以较多地创设情境,让学生运用句型 “Do you want some rice?” “Yes, please.” “No, thank you.”来进行“男女生PK”的游戏,也可以用食物单词自主造句,以此加强句子的训练。还能开展“好记性”游戏,考一考学生对食物单词的记忆,并用它来向同学发问,在近乎真实的情境中操练对话。本单元还有一个重要的德育内容,即文明礼仪教育。无论是接受或拒绝询问,都要以礼相待。通过学习,学生可以了解西方人在日常对话中是怎样体现文明礼仪的。
本单元难点为个别单词的发音和理解。some more, a little的理解和应用是难点,因为在口语对话中会经常用到,所以要弄清他们的含义。B部分单词的发音也是难点。breakfast含有不完全爆破音,vegetables要特别注意复数形式,tomato, potato要多读,加强记忆。
