本单元主要围绕“购物”这一主题展开,集中呈现10个衣物名词,8个表示颜色的形容词和四个描写衣物大小,长短的形容词。本部分还涉及到之前学过的基数词1-9,以及指示代词the,this, these,和those。本部分的核心句型是How much引导的询问价格的特殊疑问词。另外,教材还引入了一些常见的购物用语。以这些语言材料为基础,本部分要求学生听懂购物场景下的简单对话,获取有关衣物和价格的关键信息,并能模仿输入的语言,围绕衣物的价格等信息尝试简单的语言输出,为进一步学习购物功能做好充分的准备。
学生们在小学阶段都接触并较为系统的学习过英语,在之前的学习积累中也涉及到衣物,颜色,形状以及价格的词汇;并且对于询问价格“How much....?”的句式也有初步的了解。本部分对于学生的难点是掌握以复数形式出现的衣物类单词,如“socks, shorts, shoes, trousers”等,以及在询问这类衣服的价格时,be动词也要相应使用复数形式are,回答时需用They are...句式。学生只有通过大量的单复数问答练习,才能对目标语言达到熟练运用。

Step One Lead-in
1. The teacher shows a picture of Li Hao and tells students that we are going to tell a story of Li Hao. He wants a computer, so he needs to make money.
2. Enjoy a video about a lady. She makes money by setting up a stall to sell clothes. So Li Hao came up with a good idea to make money to buy a computer.

Step Two Presentation
1. Get a permission.
Show Li Hao’s street vending permit. He is going to sell clothes(learn this new word).
2. Get some clothes.
(1) The teacher shows some pictures of some famous stars to learn the words about clothes. (hat, cap, shirt, blouse, T-shirt, sweater, skirt, dress, trousers, shorts, socks, shoes, bags, watches)

利用《乘风破浪的姐姐们》节目里明星们的照片学习表示服装的单词,激起学生学习的兴趣。在学习过程中搭配颜色和大小描述衣服,如a big purple T-shirt, a pair of red and black trousers等,丰富学生们的语言表达。学习单词时,教师用不同的方法操练,比如小组挨个读,男女生读,大小声读等等,避免学生疲惫,不愿意开口。
(2) Play a game: Who remembers the most clothes? If the students know the words, they should stand up and say them quickly.
3. Sort the clothes.
(1) Game One: Two students have a PK. They should pick out clothes on the upper part of the body. Then the whole students read the words twice together.
(2) Game Two: Two students have a PK. They should pick out clothes on the lower part of the body. Then the whole students read the words twice together.

利用希沃软件里面的竞赛游戏帮助学生巩固单词,学生喜欢玩游戏,喜欢竞赛,这样能激起他们迅速掌握所学单词的欲望。两位同学在游戏竞赛时,其余同学也在随时关注这两位同学有没有出错,而且游戏结束时,老师会让所有同学齐读游戏里的单词。此环节能够帮助学生巩固单词,为后面的学习打下坚实的基础。
4. Price the clothes.
(1) The teacher shows pictures of dollars and RMB to teach students how to express the price.
(2) Li Hao doesn’t know how to price the clothes, so he goes to a store to learn how to price the clothes. Then the teacher teaches the following sentences by showing some pictures of clothes and their prices:
--How much is the/this/that…? --It’s…dollars.
--How much are the/these/those…? –They’re…dollars.
(3) Practice the above sentences by talking about the prices of the clothes in the pictures. Students can read together, role-play or make conversations to practice.
(4) Students do chain-work to see which group is the quickest.
(5) Students price the clothes. One student comes to the blackboard to price the clothes. The other students ask: How much is/are the…? And the student who prices the clothes should answer: It is/They are…dollars.

此环节是本节课最重要的环节,老师教授询问价格的句型及回答。教授句型时,老师用不同的方式带读,让学生齐读,男女生分角色读,让学生编写对话,然后设计小组竞赛环节熟练句型,每位同学都参与到练习中来。最后设计学生给衣服标价格的环节让所有学生进一步操练和巩固句型。学生经过这整个环节,能够熟练地运用句型询问衣服价格,而且要能够区分并正确使用询问单数衣物和复数衣物的句型,注意主语和谓语单复数的使用,这也是本节课的一个难点,所以在此环节要突破这个难点。
5. Sell the clothes.

(2) Listen again and fill in the blanks.

此环节为听力环节。第一步学生将听到的表示衣服的单词圈出来,此环节比较简单;第二步填空环节是老师自己设计的,挖出本节课的重点和难点问题,让学生落实到会写上面来。此环节难度稍微大一点。
6. Sell more clothes.
The money is not enough to buy a computer. So Li Hao has to think about more ways to make more money. His first idea is to sell his clothes in sets and his second idea is to make a poster for his stall.
(1) Students do pair-work. One student is Li Hao and the other student is the customer. They can bargain.
(2) Students do group-work. Work in groups of four to make a poster.
Thanks for the students’ help, Li Hao buys a computer and he is very happy. He has something to tell the students. Students watch a video to know what he says: Thank you for your help. You are so kind. If you have any trouble, please try your best to solve it. And use your money wisely.
