    学情分析

         本课时是PEP四年级上册Unit2的第四课时PartB Let's talk。是在三年级上册所学文具及颜色的基础上对学生的学习用品进一步的扩展学习及应用。也是继学完本单元A部分的词汇和句型之后,进一步拓展What's in it? What color is it?句型的学习。话题贴近学生,比较容易让学生接受。本课时通过营造失物招领这一情境,让学生在贴近生活的场景中真实的习得、练习、运用语言,达到语言学习的最终目的。

    教学工具

      学生在三年级已经学习并初步掌握了有关学习用品,颜色,方位等词汇。

      四年级的学生好奇心强,活泼好动,积极性高,兴趣较浓,参与意识较强。

    教学设计

    教学目标

    1. Enable students to read and understand the key words: notebook, toy, lost.

    2.Master the sentences and use them: Excuse me. I lost ……What colour is it? It’s... What’s in it ?  Here it is. Thank you so much.

    3. Learn to make a  dialogue to find your things in English.


    教学重难点

    Key sentences: Excuse me. I lost … What color is it? What’s in it?

    Enable to ask questions: " What color is it? What’s in it?" and answer the questions. 

    Learn to find things in real situation.

    1. Greetings and warm up.

    T: Hello, boys and girls.

    Ss: Hello.

    T: Nice to meet you.

    Ss: Nice to meet you, too.

    T: Boys and girls, today, we’ll learn Unit2 My schoolbag PartB Let’s talk. (Write the title on the blackboard)

    2. Review.

    T: Boys and girls, do you have a schoolbag?

    Ss: Yes.

    T: I have a bag, too. Where is my schoolbag?

    Ss: It's on the teacher's desk.

    T: What colour is it?

    Ss: It's blue.

    T: Yes. Oh, my schoolbag is heavy. What's in it? Can you guess?

    S1: ...

    S2: ..

    T: What colour is it?

    Ss; ...

    T: In my schoolbag, there is ...

    Now, let's read these words together.

    T: Now, let's sing a song about "schoolbag", OK?

    T: Great, do you like the song?

     T: I like it too. It's a happy song. Are you happy, now?

    T:  But, look. is Zhang Peng happy?(Show a picture of Zhang Peng)

    T: Yes, Zhang Peng is crying. He is so sad. But why? Can you guess?

    S1: He fought with his friends.

    T: Look at the picture. Where is he? Why is he here?

    Ss: ... 

    T: Look, he is at the Lost and Found. Do you know "Lost and Found"? 

    If you lost something in our school, you can go to the Lost and Found, If you want to fing out something you have lost, you may go to the  “Lost and Found” . So maybe, he lost something. What did he lose?

    Ss: ...

    T Let’s listen to the tape, and find the answer.  (Show a PPT, ask the students to choose the right answer.)

    SsChoose the right answer.

    T: Zhang Peng lost his school, so he said " I lost my schoolbag." (Teach lost)

    Have you ever lost your things? ( Lead the studernts to say "I lost my ...."

    T: What can he do? Can you help him? Or if you lost your things, what will you do?

    S1:  Ask the teacher for help.

    S2: Tell his father and mother.

    S3: Ask the policeman for help. (T: If you lost your important things, maybe you can do that.)

    S4: Go to the Lost and Found.

    S5: ...

    T: Good suggestions. Look, he is at the “Lost and Found” Miss White is here, and there is a big box. There are many things in it. Maybe Zhang Peng can find his schoolbag there.

    If  you are Zhang Peng, what will you say to Miss White? 

    Will you say " Hello, Miss White, I have a new schoolbag."

    Ss: No. 

    T: What will you say?

    Ss: ...

    T: Yes, we can say "Excuse me, Miss White, I lost my schoolbag.

    T: Miss White will ask Zhang Peng some questions. If you are Miss White, what will you ask?

    (Discuss in your groups. I’ll devide you into 9 groups. And I will give you 4 minutes. Have a try.)

    TWho can tell me your questions?

    T:  Good questions.

    What color is it? What’s in it? (Write the questions on the blackboard)

    T: Let’s read the questions.

    TCan you tell me “ What color is Zhang Peng’s schoolbag? And “What’s in it?”  Now, listen to the dialogue again, and then, tell me your answers.  Who can tell me your answers?

    TNowlet’s watch the cartoon and check the answers.

    T: Did Zhang Peng find his schoolbag?

    Ss: Yes.

    T: How do you know? Who can tell me?

    Ss: Here it is.

    T: Zhang Peng found his schoolbag, he is so happy, so he said” Thank you so much.” 

    TYou did a good job. Now, open your books at Page 17. Follow the tape and read the whole dialogue. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.


    1. Role play in pairs. (Practice the dialogue in pairs.)

    2. Ask some pairs to act the dialogue.


    T: Boys and girls, do you know how to find things now.

    Ss: Yes.

    T: Now,  I’ll give you a task. If you lost your pencil box or other things,  you want to find at the “Lost and Found” , what will you do? Make a new dialogue with your group members.

    T: Ask some pairs to act out the new dialogue.


    In this class, we have learned how to find things you have lost. Now, Let’s read the whole dialogue again, if you can recite, that’s great.

    After learning, we know, when we lost things, we can write a note and stick on the Lost and Found.

    If you pick up something, please hand them in.

    At last, we should take good care of our things.
