本单元话题为食物（food and drinks)。贴近学生的实际生活，可以较多地创设情境，让学生运用句型“Do you want some rice?" "Yes, please." "No, thank you." 来进行对话练习。也可以用所学的食物单词或句型编创对话，在近乎真实的情境中操练对话。本单元还有一个重要的德育内容，即文明礼仪。无论是接受或拒绝询问，都要以礼相待。

1. 学习新单词 breakfast, lunch, dinner。
(1) 导入。教师通过PPT课件出示一个钟表，并询问“What time is it?” 导入新单词 breakfast。
(2) 播放单词录音，学生跟读，教师通过分音节突破 breakfast的读音。
(3) 用同样的方法导入lunch、dinner。
(4) Chant
通过说唱的形式 操练breakfast, lunch, dinner.

(1) 导入。以东东妈妈的视角呈现一个活动：What do you want?
