    教学准备

    学情分析

    本单元的话题是公共标识(public signs),围绕此话题展开的活动,包括日常所见到的标识介绍、询问、意义及建议等。而重点内容是标识的含义及问答。为了将信息技术及学科英语相整合,我们用直观、形象、模拟情境的方式,与学生互动来进行本课学习,选材贴近我们日常生活,加入小组比赛增加趣味性,激发学生的学习兴趣。教学的同时还能进行文明礼仪教育、 培养守规则的习惯,加强社会公德意识,强调共创长沙文明城市,人人有责的精神。

    教学工具

    (1)词汇:在生活中,各种标志随处可见,如在学校、电影院、公园、车站等公共场所,都可看到标志和标志语。

    (2)句型:句型“ You can/cannot… ”已在四年级上册学过。

    (3)语法: 主语为第三人称单数时动词的变化,学生在本册第八单元已了解这一语法现象。


    教学设计

    教学目标

    (一)知识目标

    1.词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词sign, mean, smoke, talk, fish, pick,spit ;能听懂、会说新单词cinema, exit, visitor, mobile phone。

    2.句型:能初步运用“What does that sign mean?”“It means …”“Do not…”询问及解释公共标志的含义。初步了解“Do not/Don’t +动词原形”句式的用法。

    (二)能力目标

    1.了解特定场所的公共标志有关知识,了解公共场所所需遵循的一些规则。

    2.能用英语向人询问公共标志的含义,并给出简单的答复。

    3.能听懂、会说A部分的对话。

    情感目标

    讲文明、守规则,发扬志愿者精神,强调共创文明城市,人人有责。

    教学重难点


    重点:能初步运用“What does that sign mean?”“It means …”“Do not…”询问及解释公共标志的含义。


    难点:了解公共标志的表达方法“Do not/Don’t +动词原形”结构和用法。

    教学过程

    1.Greetings.

    2.Let’s watch.

    Show a short video :Say“No”to the uncivilized manners.

    T: Can you say "No"? But some people can’t .We need  to help them .  So we need some volunteers.

    Do you want to be the volunteers? What can we do  to be a good volunteer? In this class, we need to complete the three tasks.

    We 6 groups will have a PK. And the winner group are the good volunteers. Are you ready?



    Task 1: Volunteers are good learners.

    What should we learn?

    1.Let’s listen and say

    (1)Introduce the characters to lead to part A.

    T:Who are they?

    S1: They are Mingming and Lingling.

    T:Where are they?

    S2: They are at the cinema.


    (2).Listen and do exercises

    The 1st time:

    Listen and answer: What are they talking about?

    S3:They are talking about the signs.

     

    The 2nd time:

    Listen and choose:How many signs are Mingming and Lingling talking about?

    The 3rd time:

    Listen and match:

    Visitors do not go in.   Sign 1  

    You can go out from there. Sign 2

    Do not use a mobile phone. Sign 3

    Ss follow T to learn new words and sentences:

    Task 3: Volunteers are good designers. 

    Let’s design.

    T: Now each group has got a card .Please draw a sign and write down what the sign means.

     Each group choose a best sign to show in the class.

    Ss: This is my sign. It means...



    T:Wow! We completed the three tasks. .We are all good volunteers. In this class,the winner is Group 1 . Congratulations!
