本单元是湘少版五年级上册第九单元，本单元的话题是爱好（Hobby），本课话题能激发起孩子们的兴趣，让孩子们想表达，乐于表达。而表达自己喜好的一部分单词和句型在往日的学习中已有一定的基础，所以孩子们有内容表达。教师应激发孩子们表达的欲望，鼓励他们，让他们得到充分的展示。本单元B部分的6种表达爱好的词组在第一课时先学其中4个，并用新句型呈现，让孩子们运用新句型对爱好这一话题进行对话，培养有益身心健康的爱好。
五年级的孩子已有两年学习英语的基础，有一定的英语知识储备和语感。根据孩子们的年龄特点，兴趣爱好这一话题是孩子们很感兴趣的内容，贴近孩子们的生活。但孩子们的两级分化也逐渐明显。大部分孩子能认真听课，积极发言，师生互动，生生互动能够较好地开展起来，也更喜欢有挑战的任务；有一部分孩子学习目的性不强，爱开小菜，学习习惯不好，一少部分孩子则慢慢失去了对英语学习的兴趣。如何让优生得到充分的施展，潜能生也能乐于参与到课堂中来，我的教学理念是教学内容难度层层递进，重要的知识目标让孩子们先在游戏活动中学习，再巩固提升。
