    学情分析

    本节课是人教版九年级上Unit2 I think that mooncakes are delicious! Secction A Period II 3a-3c 内容。本单元介绍、学习国内外不同的节日,文化气息浓郁,教学内容丰富。Section A 侧重介绍我国胡传统节日,功能句式that, if/whether 引导胡宾语从句表达自己的看法和态度,以及how 和what 引导的感叹句。本节课是在学习功能句和了解端午节、泼水节等几个节日的基础之上,进一步学习和了解有关中秋节来历的故事及中秋节的精神内涵。通过本节课的学习,让学生懂得亲情的重要性,珍惜亲情,善于表达自己对家人的爱,同时,也让学生懂得如何运用英语介绍中国的节日文化,学会沟通与交流,进而提高跨文化交际意识。

    教学工具

    对于九年级学生来说,大多数学生已经养成了良好的学习习惯,有了一定的词汇量,掌握了一些阅读技巧。他们乐于学习有关中国的传统文化,也掌握了一些英、美国家日常生活中的不同传统习俗。本课介绍、学习我国的传统节日、风俗习惯、庆祝方式等,文本内容是学生熟悉的神话故事。在阅读过程中能较好地根据自己的知识认知进行词义、语义猜测,从而扫清语言障碍,获得阅读的自信,而且传统节日是孩子们感兴趣的话题,他们善于表达,敢于合作和创新。结合学生的特点,基于教材,活用教材,开发教材,我们对这节课做了大胆地设计。在略读、细读之后,让学生有感情地朗读故事,继而小组合作接龙讲故事、复述故事。最后通过诗歌欣赏,使情感得到了升华,使孩子们懂得亲情的重要。

    Full Moon, Full Feelings

    1. Key phrases: in the shape of, carry...to..., folk stories, shoot down, magic medicine, plan to, refuse to do sth., fly up to, so...that..., lay out, admire the moon, share...with

    教学过程

    Step1 ead in

    Ask the students to enjoy a video and then lead to the new lesson.

    Step 2 Pre-reading

      1. Show a picture of Mid-Autumn Festival and ask the students :What do they do to celebrate it? Lead them to answer: admire the full moon in the garden; eat some fruits and dessert——mooncakes; tell folk stories....

    Then teach the new words: admire, dessert, mooncake, folk.

      2. Free talk

    Ask the students to talk about the Mid-Autumn Festival according to the mind-map: date, activities, stories, symbols.

    Because many people believe that mooncakes could carry their wishes to the families they love and miss.

    Task3 Read para.2 play a game with the students : ask two the students to find main characters from the pictures: Hou Yi,Chang'e,Pang Meng, Goddess. Then ask students to match the characters with their activities:
