本课教材是湖南少年儿童出版社出版的三年级起点英语教材。本课来自五年级下册第九单元。在低年级学习阶段,学生们通过有趣的听做、说唱、玩演等活动来学习英语。进入中高年级,课本内容逐步增加了读和写的活动。学生的听说读写能力会得到进一步的锻炼。尤其是读写能力,将会更加进一步的强化。
本课为五年级下册第九单元He’s kind to children第二课时A部分Let's learn and say的教学。五年级的学生英语学习积极性高,对新鲜事物感兴趣,经过2年多的学习,孩子们已经有了一定的英语基础。四年级学过一些相关的形容词如beautiful,small,big;描述人物动作状态的现在分词swimming,playing basketball,dancing;五年级上册第一单元已经学过描述人物外貌的话题。本单元第一课时,孩子们已经学习了B部分的单词。
