    学情分析

    1)文本体裁分析

    本课例的内容选自人教版新目标英语八年级下册8单元Section B (2b-3a) A Country Music Changed Her Life Forever。本单元的话题为文学作品赏析以及音乐,语法结构是现在完成时(have + done)。单元分为Section A, Section B及Self Check部分。Section A是基本语言内容,包括本单元的语言目标、语法以及应用,主要谈及的是各类外国文学作品,包括小妇人、鲁滨逊漂流记等,同时在前面单元的基础上,要求学生进一步掌握运用现在完成时;Section B主要谈及的是不同种类的音乐,而阅读文章的主题则是乡村音乐。本课例选自8单元Section B部分的阅读,文章分为三段,第一段对主人公Sarah进行了介绍,包括她是如何接触到乡村音乐的;第二段谈及了乡村音乐的发源;最后一段介绍了乡村音乐的灵魂人物Garth Brooks。透过乡村音乐,让学生感知音乐,明白音乐对人类的重要性。

    (2)文本情感态度分析

    教师应努力营造具有丰富文化内涵和情感渗透的课堂,从而提高学生的人文素养[2]。本篇阅读中的音乐,其丰富的内涵,优美的节奏,加上教师对于整堂课氛围的渲染,都让学生似沉浸在一幕戏曲之中。关于音乐的一些好词好句贯穿整堂课,让学生能充分体会到音乐的美好,感同身受的理解主人公Sarah,并知道音乐的重要性。教师在帮助学生领略语言之美、情感之美的基础上,感受和领悟阅读的思想内涵,使学生的情感得到升华。



    教学工具

    八年级的学生对本单元的话题非常熟悉,有些同学对于音乐还具有极大的兴趣,所以他们都有自己的独特感受。相较于七年级的学生,他们的课堂表现欲会有所削弱,但有强烈的求知欲和较高的学习自觉性,并具备一定的自学能力,自尊心强,希望得到老师和同学的认可和欣赏;同时,此年龄阶段的学生带有一定的叛逆心理,且面临初中生地会考,学业压力较大。本节课的阅读主人公Sarah也是同年龄的孩子,切合青春期学生的生活经历和情感体验,在欣赏和讨论之后的采访环节,给了学生学以致用和情感表达的需要。此外,对于本文深层次的理解之后以及生成之后,学生可以产生共鸣,也给学生提供一些解压的方式,使学生最后在知识、情感与价值观方面有所收获。

    【Purpose】The teacher can quickly catch the students’ attention and make them concentrate on class, at the same time, lead in some new words in the reading passage naturally. This helps to eliminate the barrier and lays the foundation for their reading.

    【设计意图】课堂的开始,就像一场戏的序曲一样,幕布一打开,就要使学生快速入戏。上课铃响,同学们期待走上讲台的老师是谁。在这种期待中,老师打破常规,手弹吉它、边走边唱,从教室后方高调走来。未见其人,先闻其声。老师一下就抓住所有学生的注意力,为学生营造一种轻松、愉悦的学习氛围,并且很快拉近师生距离。以唱歌导入,很符合 “a country music song” 这个主题。紧接着,在教师情境中不露痕迹地引出与阅读文本相关的几个新词,启发学生思维,激起学生阅读的欲望。由于学生没有预习,因此在情景中适当认识几个新词,为后面的阅读理解扫除基本障碍,为后面的阅读理解作些许铺垫。

    Method 1. Underlining(画线) the key sentences is a good way to get the main ideas.

    Method 2. Making notes(做笔记) can help you get the important points.

    【Purpose】For the reading, the students can take notes, getting specific information and the general idea of the passage, this helps to develop the understanding of the passage and improve their independent thinking ability. Meanwhile, the methods also give the students some instructions about how to solve problems in the future. The students can become clearer about the structure of the passage by using the mind map. It is also beneficial to the reading and retelling afterwards.

    【设计意图】这一步相当于戏剧里面故事的展开。通过前面环节对学生们文章大意已经了解,教师需要引导学生一同展开对文章内容更细致的解读。“Making notes” (做笔记) 是阅读的一个很重要的方法阅读摘录其实就是阅读的同时把要点记录下来。这样最大限度地挖掘课文内容。设计一个阅读摘录的题目,训练学生的归纳总结能力(例如第5空)和细节获取能力(例如第2空),也能使学生在自己的头脑里形成一个较为清晰的思维导图,让文本在他们的头脑里网络化、条理化。同时也实现了学习和考试的联通,在某种程度上也能减轻他们的学习负担。摘录要点,也能培养学生写的能力,因为摘录的时候,他们要把他们所读到的内容,进行适当的转述,进行加工创作,并输出来,这样,把阅读和写作相结合,把输入和输出相结合。通过一个摘录要点的练习,多管齐下,事半功倍,提高了教学的有效性。这个表格概括了文章的要点,为下一步的概述文章内容,悄悄的做了厚厚的铺垫。

    Method 3. Summarizing (总结) can help you better understand the passage.

    【Purpose】After students read and get to know how to summarize, the most important is to summarize the passage by themselves. The mind map and the chart in the blackboard are tools, which are helpful for students to prepare and get ready for the retelling.

    【设计意图】戏剧或者故事的悬念观众最期待。课堂里学生的产出最终怎么样,也是一个悬念。通过前面的阅读活动,学生已经把握各段落大意,此时借助一张总结的表格,让学生再一次整体感知文章,也为最后复述的活动做了准备。同时最后方法的呈现,也给了学生以阅读指导。

    【设计意图】戏剧的高潮部分最吸引人,是全剧的重头戏。这节课的产出部分,无疑是这节课的亮点和重点。通过前面的阅读活动,学生已经把握各段落大意,在此基础上检测学生是否理解了整篇文章呢。通过对文章总结的活动,培养学生归纳段落大意的能力又为学生提供口头练习的机会。这样把输入和输出相结合,把文本和表述相结合。此外,阅读策略方法的总结以及呈现,能指导学生在以后的做题中学会总结,课堂得到了落实,教学目标得以实现。
