本单元围绕“谈论自己所喜欢的学科”这一话题，展开形式多样的听、说、读、写学习活动。主要学习一周中星期一到星期天的表达方式；掌握学科的表达；学习用because和表示品质的形容词表示理由；学习what，why，who，when引导的特殊疑问句。通过本单元的学习使学生学会谈论自己喜好的学科或自己喜好的其它事情并给出理由；学会说出一周的七天；学会合理地安排自己的作息时间。
本单元为七年级上册的最后一个单元，这个单元的话题是School subjects 。这个话题贴近学生的学习和生活，因此学生在学习该单元时，兴趣很浓而且有话可说,。同时，本节课设计以微信聊天为大前提，贴合生活实际，能充分激发学生学习的积极性。
本次授课的对象是初一387班学生，学生的整体基础一般，语言表达能力属于中等偏下，口语表达的能力有待提高。但是，该班学生对于英语的学习兴趣较为浓厚，对老师下达的任务能够积极地参与和完成。根据学生的实际情况，我们要求学生认真进行课前准备，布置预习任务，通过听、说、读等多种方法，反复进行操练，使得学生能够自主、准确的表达自己喜爱的学科，这样既能充分激发学生学习的积极性，同时也能提高口语表达的能力。

1. Teach the new words
Create a situation, yesterday teacher talked favorite subjects with her students on WeChat, and then show some pictures about the screenshot of WeChat. Ask students to guess what’s her/his favorite subject? And teach the new words one by one.

1) Listen and circle the subjects you hear in 1a. Meanwhile, play a short movie to help understand the dialogue.

【设计意图: 通过前面的学习，学生已经基本掌握了关于学科新词的认读。通过听力环节，检验学生对新词的掌握情况。为了照顾到基础差的同学，同时插播与听力内容配套的视频，这样既降低了任务难度，又能激发学习学习的兴趣，从而提升学生们英语“听”的能力。】
4. Play the game “stand and say”
Present some pictures of subjects, ask students to stand and say it in English as quickly as possible if he or she know it.
