    学情分析

       Although there are some top students, the secondary and the secondary inferior students are the main forces of the whole class, and the proportion of poor students in the class is above 30%. Therefore, we should make great efforts to train top students and set an example. Pay attention to middle school students, mobilize their enthusiasm, not only teach them knowledge, but also improve their ability. To drive downstream students, reduce the poor students, be good at discovering their flashing points, praise them, enhance their self-confidence and encourage them to make progress on their original of  English basis .

     The students have already learned the Chinese version of An Old Man Tried to Move a Mountain.
     So it's easier for them to learn the English version of this story.

              Once upon a time,there was a very old man...

               As soon as the man finished talking,Yu Gong said that his family could continue to move the mountains after he died.

              ④Why was Yu Gong trying to move the mountains?

              ⑤Because they were so big that it took a lonng time to walk to the other side.

       Have students watch a MV about Yu Gong Moves a Mountain and tell students to catch the key words to guess the name of the song.

       T: What do you think of this song?

      Ss: Very beautiful......

      T: After watching this MV, tell me what you remember?

      Ss: We remember an old man named Yu Gong,an mountains named Taihanng ang Wangwu......

      T: Can you guess the name of the song?

      T:Yes.

      T:How do you know?

      S1: The key words "Taihang and Wangwu"   ......

      S2:I can see the old man named the Yu Gong....

      T:Do you like watching a video?

      1.The teacher show some new words and expressions on PPT.First give them some time to learn with their groups.Then teach them how to read ,and encourage students to make sentences with these words nad expressions.

      Now tell students that we will watch a video about Yu Gong Moves a Mountain,before watching it ,write 6 questions on the blackboard .Ask them to pay attention to these questions.Ask 6 students to traslate these questions one by one,then ask students to focus on key words while  watching video .

      1.Ask 6 students to read and  translate these questions one by one.

        1).What were the name of the mountains?

        2).How were the mountains?

        3).What did Yu Gong want to do ?

        4).Where did they put the earth and stones?

        5).What did the smart man thing of Yu Gong?

        6).Why did Yu Gong keep on moving the mountains?

      2.Play the video

      3.Ask students to race to be the first to answer the questions .

      4.Summarize the six questions.


      Tell the story 

      1.Show 6 pictures with some key words, tell students to discuss them in groups,6 students is a group,each students describe one of the pictures.Give students 5 minutes to prepare.

      2.Ask students to write down the key words.

      3.Tell the story.Encourage students to take the chances to tell the story.

      4.When students describe the story,other students and the teacher should give them suuitable help.

      5.Teacher show the story of Yu Gong on PPT,then ask the students tell the story together.

        1.  Teacher show the model  story of Yu Gong  Moves a Moutains on PPT,then give students 3 minutes to read it by thenselves.

        2.Choose three or five  students to recite the story together .

      3.Give applause to the good reciter.

        Have students look at the pictures in 2a and tell the story in their own words in their group.  Then discuss in groups to make the story better. Ask one student in each group to tell the story in class. Praise the best one and give others some encourage.

        Role-play the conversation. First ,have students to role-play the conversation in 2d in groups and choose the best one.

       In groups, discuss the language points and solve the problems. The teacher walks around and gives them some help if they need.

        Explain some key phrases“a little bit , instead of”and some key sentences.

        Have students work in pairs to make up conversations to talk about the story. Ask them to pay attention to using their own opinions.

        Call two pairs to report their conversations.

       Guide students to summarize the language points they learned in this class..

        Ask students to sum up the adverbial clauses with conjunctions such as unless, as soon as and so..that.

        Grasp how to use target language to tell a story.
