宾语从句是Unit2和Unit3的核心语法点，Unit2侧重于that和if引导的宾语从句，Unit3侧重于疑问词引导的宾语从句。实际上学生在本单元之前就已接触过这几种形式的宾语从句，只是没有经过系统的梳理。如果在Unit2学习时完全不涉及特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句，学生可能会存在疑问，对于学生知识结构的整体性不利。因此，我们在进行Unit2语法课的教学时，对教材进行了整合，将Unit3特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句也融入了本堂课的教学。只不过对于特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句这一语法点更着重于渗透概念与运用感知，在Unit3的单元教学中还要继续巩固。
学生在初一、初二的学习中已接触过不同类别的宾语从句，对其名称并不陌生，但是对宾语从句的概念并不十分清楚，也不了解宾语从句的类别。大部分学生能够读懂if和that引导的宾语从句，中上层次的学生能基本读懂特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句，但是对于大部分学生来说，写出正确的宾语从句存在困难。
