本单元围绕“谈论自己所喜欢的学科”这一话题,展开形式多样的听、说、读、写学习活动。主要学习一周中星期一到星期天的表达方式;掌握学科的表达;学习用because和表示品质的形容词表示理由;学习what,why,who,when引导的特殊疑问句。通过本课的学习,学生学会谈论自己喜好的学科或自己喜好的其它事情并给出理由;学会合理地安排自己的作息时间,并爱上学科学习,爱上生活。
初一学生在Section A 部分已经学习了学科名称的表达方式,以及能用形容词简单谈论自己对这些学科的看法。Section B的第一课时也学习了星期一到星期天的表达,整体基础打下来了,为本篇阅读降低了难度。本课用视频、头脑风暴与集体讨论的方式再次带学生复习了词汇句型,引起学生专注与思考。阅读的设置更要求学生能将词汇句型应用到现实生活中,本文就是一写信的方式,描述了主人公Yu Mei的学习生活,对校园课程的喜好以及看法。教师应当引导学生将所学应用到实际生活,对学习各科目中遇到的一些问题展开讨论后达到德育目的,引导学生均衡快乐地学习。

On the screen you can see the seven days in a chart and students are asked to complete the chart one by one.
(This chart is designed to help students conclude the days of the week and we will also learn the abbreviations of the seven days that are seen frequently in our daily life。)
3. Colorful subjects
① In this part,you will see different subjects in a circle and the teacher will choose one in turns ,then students say the name
(It’s useful for the students to review the subjects with the help of the pictures)

(in this past,students are to learn the reading skill: skimming, which requires them to locate the key words and top sentence as quickly as possible and try their best to get the answer as well)

1.Challenge yourself
Stick the clocks(on each paper) on the blackboard and ask students to complete the sentences and present them to the class.
