Analysis of the Teaching Material:
本节授课内容选自人教版英语Go for it 七年级下册第九单元Unit9 What does he look like ? Section A 1a-1c 部分,是紧密结合学生感兴趣的生活话题,也是一堂典型的听说课。教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型等基本外貌特征。本课的教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流。在模拟正式的语言交际活动中,学生能通过用英语交换对不同人物的描述及看法,促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进情谊,同时培养学生正确的情感和为人处世态度:不要以貌取人(Don't judge by appearance)。
本节授课内容——人教版Go For It 七下Unit9 (SectionA 1a-1c)所需用到的PPT课件(正式授课录课会修改至希沃版本)及听力录音文件会陆陆续续在我们小组的集体备课中更新和完善,我们将以同课异构的方式比对不同的教学设计对相同教学内容产生的教学影响,从而分析论证合理利用信息技术对中学英语课堂教学产生的催化剂效果。
Analysis of students:
Students in this grade have mastered some basic English ,and they can try their best to do their tasks and help each other. They are active in class because they are intrested in this topic and they have already learned some simple words and sentence tructures before,but several students have some difficulties in pronunciation. They should practice more.Before having this lesson, their teachers have helped them review some vocabularywords related to appearence and hair colour and build .Since they are a little familiar wirh these sentences structures,it's not difficult to ask sdudents to use the language patterns to communicate with their partenners.

熟练掌握本单元的用来描述外貌特征的相关形容词短语和句型,学会询问他人的外貌特征。

二,过程与方法。Process and Steps
自主学习本单元第一课时的相关词汇;合作交流观察到的现象并尝试用英语进行表达,学会用学过的语法进行自纠自查。本课主要运用“Task-based Learning”,并辅助于情景交际教学法。
“Task-based Learning”:就是教师通过预设问题来诱发学生的学习兴趣、学习的主动性和自觉性,给学生布置学习任务,让学生通过自主学习、小组合作和教师答疑来获取正确答案。在寻找答案的过程中,学生可能会进一步发现更多有价值的问题,他们将通过自己的努力,拨开层层迷雾,最终找到令人满意的答案。它的核心理念是“以优化课堂为宗旨,打造高效课堂为目的”,基本内容可概括为 “三问三议一测”,基本环节为“情景激趣——布置预习任务,小组内预习、质疑、讨论——全班质疑、讨论——教师提出问题、全班讨论——学生操练、互相检测”。
2、情景交际法:课堂教学以情景交际教学法为主,尽量给学生以足够的听、说、读的机会,联系课文实际,创设情景,引入讨论主题,在交际中学英语。情景的设计注意衔接的自然性,主题的设计强调知识的渐进性和讨论的可行性,并注意情感体验和概括、推理思维的培养。

通过描述人们的外貌,表达自己的看法,引导学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人,学会交换不同的看法,学会不可以貌取人。

(1) Present the new words: tall, short, heavy, thin, medium height, medium build.
Show the pictures of different persons and help Ss to understand the new words. Help them to describe the people in the pictures by using "He/she's (of) …".
(2) Present some pictures of different haircuts. Help Ss to understand the new words: long hair, short hair, curly hair, straight hair. Help them to describe persons by using "He/she has …".
S1:She is short and he is tall . S2: He is of medium height.

(1).学生读对话,根据对话内容对需要填的部分进行预测。

(2).播放录音,学生自主完成1b练习。

【教学设计说明】此环节着重是听力训练。让学生在听对话的过程中抓住关键词汇,由于前面已做了一些训练,因此学生听起来比较容易,让他们都有一次成功的喜悦和感受,这样可以增强他们的学习自信心。

【教学设计说明】此环节为趣味句型操练,使不同层次学生更进一步掌握目标语言。口语句型操练是英语初始阶段教学必不可缺的部分,学生要先从模仿到初步掌握,最后才能熟练应用。口语句型操练时应注意让优秀的学生组合示范后再鼓励提问表现稍欠缺的学生,由于句型操练比较简单,因此是激发后进生兴趣,培养后进生自信的一个很好的途径。
