    学情分析

    本节课是人教版八上Unit 4 What’s the best movie theater?第四课时,这是一节阅读课。这节课以talent show为主线,主要介绍了达人秀节目的起源和类型,特点,以及人们对此类节目的不同看法三个方面。因为本节课是片段教学,所以以读中部分作为教学重点。这个话题与我们日常生活联系紧密,容易激发学生的学习兴趣。整节课围绕学生喜闻乐见的话题,谈论我们身边之最,品读之间,培养阅读技巧,渗透阅读策略,提高阅读能力,为学生的综合语言运用能力的培养奠定了良好的基础。同时,跳出文本,引导学生理性辩证追星和看待流行文化,发挥自身优势和才能,努力实现梦想


    教学工具

    在本节课之间,学生已经学过形容词最高级的基本用法,并能用形容词最高级谈论喜好或进行比较但是听说能力稍优于读写能力。在阅读方面,八年级的同学基本能读懂浅易的阅读材料,但对于长篇阅读文章,缺乏良好的阅读策略和技巧与此同时,大部分学生比较乐于参与各种英语实践活动。因此,本节课充分利用小组合作的学习方式,学生能在巩固形容词最高级的用法的同时,进一步学习和增加与相关话题的单词量和相关话题的表达方式根据学生阅读水平差异大的特点希望通过整体阅读、分层阅读等方式,优生能够快速阅读文章大意并能够复述此文,中等生能够理解文本内涵,全面提高获取文本信息的能力提高阅读水平。能够正确运用相关表达和目标语言评价和介绍他们认为的最有才华的人。


    教学设计

    教学目标

    根据英语学科核心素养,通过本节课的学习,同学们可能够实现以下四个方面的目标

    1.语言能力:

    掌握本课时与有关达人秀有关的单词和短语magician, winner, performer,talent, talented, have ... in commom, be up to, play a role, make up.进一步熟练掌握形容词和副词的最高级变化,运用目标语言,谈论身边之最。

    2.文化意识:

    辩证看待达人秀这类流行文化,深刻感受身边榜样力量。理解才能的真正内涵,充分利用自身优势和特长,坚持不懈,努力向上。

    3.思维品质:

    通过创设合理的活动、强化思维逻辑,发展思维的辩证性。
    4.学习能力:

    指导学生在阅读过程中掌握阅读技巧,如、提高学生捕捉关键信息的能力,对语篇的理解能力,以及在英语学习中的交际合作能力。重视培养学生的语言综合运用能力及创新思维能力的培养,能用所学的英语知识表达自己的看法。

    教学重难点

    教学重点: 学会并掌握阅读技巧,获取相关信息,提高综合阅读能力。

    教学难点:

    引导学生找出文章层次,逐步得出思维导图,加深对文本内容的整体把握。同时,通过多种形式的阅读活动(read and predict, read and match, read and find, read and choose, read and fill泛读、精读、利用思维导图掌握文本内涵并进行批判性思考,进一步提高学生的综合阅读和口语能力。

    Step 1 Lead in

    Show some videos and pictures.

    Step 2 Fast Reading

    1.Read the title and picture and predict.

    2. Read and match

    Match  the main idea of each paragraph .

    Step3 Careful reading

    (Designing purpose: Make students focus on today's topic by showing the poem with a vedio and encourage students to work hard.)

    2. Summary

    Guide students to other talented people around us, such as Yuan Longping and Zhongnanshan. They are the most talented and respectable persons we shold learn from.

    (Desingning of purpose: Develop students' critical thinking to help them think deeply and have emotional education--guide stduent to have a positive attitude towards talent shows and learn from the most talented persons in our lives.)

    3.Emotional education--Guide students to the ture meaning of talent.

      What's the true meaning of talent?

    ( Designing of purpose: Broaden students' mind and have a better understanding of talent and encourage students to try their best to make their dreams come true.)

    3. Present a poem about talent by video as a gift.

    (Designing purpose: Make students focus on today's topic by showing the poem with a vedio and encourage students to work hard.)

    Step 6 Homework

    1. Repeat after the tape of the reading and try to retell the passage with mind-map.

    2. Introduce the most talented person you think  and write more than 3 sentences if you can .
