    学情分析

    内容分析:

    整本教材以德育为魂,高度重视思想性和学科育人功能。第一单元从学校生活出发,旨在帮助学生适应高中新环境,激发他们的潜能。第二单元的话题是“父母与子女关系”。旨在帮助学生学会与父母沟通,体恤父母,关爱父母。第三单元的话题是“友谊“,旨在帮助学生形成正确的友谊观,促进人际交往的健康发展。本单元的话题是 “青少年心身健康”涉及的语篇有新闻报道,说明文,杂志文章等。本单元的教学旨在帮助学生们认识健康生活的重要性,形成健康的生活方式以及良好的生活习惯,树立积极向上的生活态度。 本板块语篇是一篇杂志文章,首先介绍了当下青少年对于个人外表的一些消极观念,并分析了产生这些观念的原因:媒体对“美,丑”的界定标准和朋友的影响。紧接着给出了一些可行的解决消极观念的办法: 不盲目从众,肯定自我,转移注意力。最后,鼓励青少年肯定自我,改变以貌取人的价值观念,学会自我欣赏,接纳自我。


    教学工具

    这堂课的授课对象是高一年级的新生,他们现在正处于青春期,对外表很在乎,甚至还有部分学生有外貌焦虑。他们有一定的独立思考的能力也有一定的英语应用能力。学生特点:学生愿意表达自己的观点,思维活跃。

    教学设计

    教学目标

    教学目标:

    By the end of the section, students will be able to :

    1.     Identity the structure and the main idea of the argument;

    2.     Locate specific information related to the content;

    3.     Have a positive attitude towards physical appearance.

          4.     Learn how to appreciate inner beauty.

     、语言知识目标:

           1、熟悉本课的一些新单词和短语—in addition, show off, skinny, inner beauty, outer beauty. etc

      2、通过对外貌焦虑的讨论,帮助孩子发散式记忆积累相关描述人的的外貌、特征的词汇、习惯用语。

        、能力目标:

           1、训练孩子的阅读技巧(略读、寻读等),形成用英语获取信息、处理分析信息的能力。

           2、鼓励孩子开口表达

        三,.情感态度目标

          1、通过讨论外貌焦虑激发孩子对美的正确理解

          2、帮助他们树立美商和正确的价值观和处事原则;

          3、通过对课文学习的小组辩论等形式,帮助孩子养成团结、协作的品质。




    教学重难点

    教学过程

    教学过程:

    Step1 Lead-in

    a.Show students picture of a bookshelf with many books , then ask them one question:

    Suppose you feel like reading a book here, you pick one mainly due to its cover or content?

    Conclusion: the inner beauty is more important than appearance. Transfer the sentence into idiomatic English. 1.Don't judge a book by its cover. 2. Don't judge a  person by its appearance/look.

    b.let  students browse some recent news about apperance anxiety to show them the fact that our teenagers have a negative attitude towards physical appearance.

    Step 2 let's match (利用希沃白板完成配对游戏)

        At first, tell students dos means what they should do, dont's means what they should not do, then ask one student play the game.



    Step 3Let's think:

    1. Recently, the media set some standards for   beauty. In your opinion, are there eternal  beauty standards?

    2.  Show students some pictures to illustrate  the change of beauty standards.

    In the Han Dynasty, a beauty should be thin; In the Tang Dynasty, a beauty should be fat; In the Song Dynasty, a beauty should have a pair of small feetHowever, nowadays, a beauty should have a V-shaped face, a pointed chin, a Roman  nose, double eyelids and a skinny figure.

    Summary:

           a. Different Danasties have different beauty standards.

    b.  There are no  eternal outer beauty standards.

    c.  Standards of beauty in the media are   unreliable.

    Step 4  Let's have an open debate

     Which one is more important? Inner beauty or outer beauty?

     Give them  1 minute to  discuss, then let them express their ideas group by group. 

    Conclusion: Only inner beauty can make you shine.

    Famous saying: Your outer beauty will capture the eyes, your inner beauty will capture the  heart.

         Step 5 Let's summarize

    Give them some suggestions about how to improve inner beauty. 

    1.be confident. 2.Form a healthy   lifestyle. 3.pursue good personal qualities. 4.Strive for excellence.


    Homework:

    1.Learn to sing a song just the way you are. 

    2.Try to appreciate and memorize the lyrics.
