教学目标

Teaching aims:

I).Knowledge aims:

①New words:  exam   strict  shy

②New phrases: be strict with     do badly in sth.

               be worried about   have a talk

③Useful expressions and sentences:

1.I am sorry to hear that

2.She is crying in the bathroom because she did badly in the English exam.

3.She is very strict with herself.

4. She feels lonely because she has no friends to talk with.

5.I’m really worried about her.

④Grammar:

  Learn the structure“S+V系+adj”;

   Learn adverbial clauses of reasons—because....

II).Ability aims:

Enable students to talk about their feelings;

Enable students to make sentences and dialogues.

III)Emotional aims:

  Enable students to care about others.


教学重难点

1. What seems to be the problem?

2. She is crying in the bathroom because she did badly in the English exam.

3. She is strict with herself.

4. She feels lonely because she has no friends to talk with.

 I am really worried about her.


教学方法

 Listening ,looking ,saying,reading and writing.

   Multi-video , games and competitions.


教学过程

The teacher greets students by asking “How are you feeling now?”  

   Then use pictures to lead to the new lesson —Unit 5 Topic2 Section A .

①Learn new words new phrases:

exam  strict  shy   be strict with

 do badly in sth.   be worried about

②Listen to 1a and finish 1b.

Ask students to close their books, listen to the conversations and try to write fill in the blanks in 1b by themselves.

     Ask students to share their answers.

     Listen to 1a again, check the answers.


 Watch the video.

Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.


Read 1a as many times as possible.

Try to recite the dialogues.

 Pay attention to the key words and phrases.


Finish Part2.

Ask students to act out the dialogues and try to make new dialogues.

①We learn:

New words and phrases:

exam, shy, strict, be strict with

 be worried about    have a talk

The adverbial clause of reason:

She feels very lonely because she has no friends to talk with.

②We can:

—Use the expressions to talk about our feelings.

      I’m sorry to hear that.

      I’m really worried about her.

—Use “because” to tell the reasons . 


1. Try to recite 1a.

2. Suppose you are Miss Wang, give Li Hong some advice.

3. Preview Section B.


When we are unhappy, it’s good for us to talk with our friends and teachers.

Don’t be too strict with ourselves in our daily life.

If we do badly this time ,it doesn’t matter.

Just keep trying and work much harder.

We will do better next time.
