学情分析

    本节课为人教版Go for it!八年级下Unit6 An old man tried to move the mountains.(Section A 3a-3c)阅读课,主要讲述中国传统故事《西游记》中的经典人物孙悟空(Monkey King)具有很强的趣味性。

    鉴于农村学生,英语基础薄弱缺少阅读方法的探究和归纳,在使用中不能融会贯通,因此本堂课我教学生用Skimming和Scanning的方法来快速阅读感知课文,获得主要信息;但本课时要讲的孙悟空,学生非常了解,所以课堂比较活跃,本堂课的难度也就相对不大,重点培养学生阅读方法和阅读后的输出。

教学目标

一.语言知识目标

1.学习掌握下列新单词:tail, object, stick, excite, western, hide.

2. 阅读短文,能按要求找到相应的信息。

二.语言技能目标

1.能够运用阅读策略Skimming和Scanning的方法来快速阅读感知课文。

2.能够运用语言知识讲述中国故事。

三.情感态度与价值观

人的一生并不都是一帆风顺的,难免有一些挫折和困难,如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题,我们要会冷静对待,学会合理的办法去理性地去解决。

1.掌握本部分出现的生词,达到熟读的目标。

2.阅读短文,获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习,来提高阅读能力。

教学过程

1.Greet with students:

Tt: Are you happy today?

Ss: Yes,and you?

Tt:Yes, I’m happy,too.

2.Show students a picture on PPT and ask students:Who is he?


1.Before learning the passage, teach students the new words:tail, object, stick, excite, western, hide.

2.Sharp eyes(play a game):Ask students to say them aloud by standing up.


1.Pre-reading: Watch a VCR and judge if the following 3 sentences are true or false.

(1)The Monkey King can make 72 changes to his shape and size.

(2)The Monkey King can’t turn himself into different animals and objects.

(3)The Monkey King can make his magic stick so small that he can keep it in his ear.

2.While-reading: Skimming&Scanning

(1)Task 3a(play a game):Choose one picture. If you answer the question behind the picture, you can get some candies.
